Strategic Sourcing Partner

Wood Supply Across Sources and Markets

Our team brings more than twenty years of wood component and supply chain experience. This describes industry experience, rather than the incorporation age of the company. Devine Courtly coordinates product sourcing and supply arrangements with producing suppliers. The company, its team and the producing factories have distinct roles; production location and shipment arrangements are agreed per product.

Product-Specific Supply Routes

Material source, production location, export point, trade origin and warehouse location are separate parts of each supply arrangement.

China

Paulownia supply from China. Product form, production arrangements and shipment details are confirmed for each order.

Malaysia

Paulownia from Malaysian plantations with local production in Malaysia. This is a separate supply route from China.

Eastern Europe

Birch products can ship from Eastern Europe. The country, product range and shipment arrangements are confirmed for each enquiry.

Cincinnati Services by Arrangement

Warehousing, distribution and replenishment may be arranged for applicable supply programmes. Cincinnati is not the dispatch location for every product. Transport, customs responsibilities and delivery terms are agreed for each order.

  • Warehousing and distribution by arrangement
  • Replenishment for applicable supply programmes
  • Availability and delivery timing confirmed per order

Quality Requirements by Product and Order

Agree material structure, dimensions, moisture requirements, finish and inspection scope with the producing supplier for each product and order. Supporting documentation should match the material and intended market.

Grades, tolerances and test requirements are recorded in the agreed product specification. There is no single moisture range, inspection percentage or machining tolerance for the entire range.

Material Compliance

CARB / TSCA requirements depend on the material structure and intended market. Request applicable product documentation before ordering.

Certification Documents

Any FSC claim requires verification of the certificate holder, current scope and status, and the claim for the specific product. Certification is not assumed across the range.

Manufacturing Excellence

Review the requirements to discuss with the producing supplier. The applicable process, equipment and inspection plan depend on the product and order.

01

Material Selection

Agree the species, material structure and grade for the selected product. Any sourcing or certification claim requires documentation for that supply route.

  • Species and structure agreed per product
  • Grade defined in the specification
  • Source documents reviewed where required
02

Moisture Requirements

Moisture targets and drying requirements depend on the material, intended use and order specification. There is no single drying cycle or moisture range for every product.

  • Moisture target agreed per order
  • Measurement method specified
  • Drying requirements confirmed with the producer
03

Dimensions and Machining

Confirm dimensions, tolerances and any machining requirements with the producing supplier before ordering.

  • Dimensions and units recorded
  • Tolerances agreed per product
  • Machining scope confirmed for the order
04

Surface and Finish Options

Surface preparation and finish options depend on the product and application. A UV finish is not a default specification for every material we supply.

  • Finish or unfinished supply specified
  • Application requirements discussed
  • Supporting finish data requested where needed
05

Inspection and Packing

Agree inspection scope, acceptance criteria and packaging for each order. Sampling levels and inspection records should reflect the agreed plan.

  • Acceptance criteria agreed
  • Inspection scope documented
  • Packing and shipment requirements confirmed
